The perfect destination for photographing my “Western” style paintings was Rod’s Western Palace in Columbus, Ohio! It’s soooo Western! Boots, hats, clothes, tack, saddles – just about everything a cowgirl – or cowboy – would ever want! (Well, no actual horses, but I brought paintings of those!)
Here are some of the photos from the shoot!
The children’s section is perfect for kiddos who love riding! And showing. There was a sweet family with lots of kids getting boots for all the kids when we were there! Growing up with horses is makes for a wonderful childhood! This was a perfect backdrop for my mare and foal painting!
And horse lovers love to buy baby gifts with a “horse’ theme, right? Rod’s has super cute toys and baby gear for your favorite future cowboy or cowgirl. And the foal in this painting might have been a model for one of those blankies!
When it comes to bling, there are lots of shiny things at Rod’s! The Welsh Cobb stallion in this painting would have looked perfect with some bling!
Did you say boots? Yep! Try some on at Rod’s! This Rocky Mountain Stallion is ready to slip on a pair.
This painting of a warmblood mare poses beside Rod’s Western Wear’s mascot. Do you know his name?
Western wear fills the airy palace! Rod’s Western Palace, that is. And this colorful painting showcases some of the trendy colors you’ll find for your next outfit!
Across the parking lot is Rod’s second building packed with tack, saddles, and so much more. I think the Quarter Horse in this painting would look great wearing any saddle.
The hat section was the perfect setting for one of my oldest paintings – featuring halter class at Quarter Horse Congress years ago!
