You are invited to the debut of equine artist Karen Brenner’s new series – Horse Ballet. Spotlighting the beautiful, dance-like movement of horses, the paintings showcase a mix of equine athleticism, confidence, grace and beauty. The exhibit in the Columbus Hilton will include 15 oil paintings and will be on display in the hotel’s airy, public exhibition hallway.
Brenner’s colorful oil paintings feature a variety valiant stallions, delicate mares and elegant geldings. You’ll find favorite breeds including Andalusians, Arabians, Friesians and even the famous white Camargue horses from Southern France.
Specializing in creating oil paintings of horses for over 20 year, Brenner has traveled extensively across the United States and photographed hundreds of horses. Some of her favorite photos have become the inspiration for this new Horse Ballet series.
The series will fill the exhibition hallway of the Columbus Hilton this fall. One of the most unique hotels in the country, the Hilton Columbus Downtown has a permanent collection of over 230 original artworks on display throughout the hotel and restaurant. All the work is done by artists with connections to Ohio. Located in the Short North Arts District, the hotels exhibit hallway – which is always open for artwork viewing rotates exhibits monthly.
“It’s an honor to be able to display my paintings in such a wonderful space. The hotel’s dedication to area artists is amazing,” states Brenner
The exhibit runs Sunday, September 27—October 30, 2020 at the Columbus Hilton, 401 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio.
