Inspired by the beautiful horses she met this summer in Kentucky, equine artist Karen Brenner has created Slices of Life – a series of 23 original, one-of-a-kind, tiny oil paintings. The artist traveled to the bluegrass state in June 2021 photographing over 30 horses for her Beautiful Horses of Kentucky series.With thousands of reference photos to choose from, when the opportunity came to participate in a small works challenge with hundreds of artists from around the world, of course Karen decided to revisit all those photos and choose some for these special tiny pieces.
